I have come to the difficult decision to end my blog, my trial drug is doing well and so life is plodding along on a fairly even keel.
I have been aware that my more recent blog entries have been an effort to write and no longer have the depth of feeling my earlier entries did.
I am now putting my efforts into writing a book, an honest account of what I have been through since my diagnosis. I would like to thank everyone who has followed my blog for all your love and support. We raised a fantastic amount of money for CRUK and I will feel that I achieved my aim if I helped even one person to feel less alone or one person to understand better what a loved one was going through..
Thanks again for sharing my journey with me and if things go well you may see me in print again sometime soon.
We at the Echo would like to say a massive thank you to Nikki for allowing us to publish her journal for so long, and we're absolutely delighted that she's giving up the blog under such positive circumstances. You can read her journal from the start here and if her story inspires you to take part in this year's Race for Life, you can do that here.
