TWO sisters with a head for heights have been inspired by their disabled brother to take part in a charity abseil.

Brockenhurst College student Heather and Canford Heath Middle School pupil Evelyn Dagnall, aged 17 and 12 respectively, will be taking the plunge on Sunday in aid of Diverse Abilities Plus.

The charity supports children and adults with learning and physical disabilities throughout their life and looks after Langside School in Poole, which is attended by the girls’ brother Ewan, 14.

Ewan, who has profound and multiple physical and learning disabilities, has been a pupil at the school since he was five.

Mum Laura, from Verity Crescent, Canford Heath, said the school has been fantastic, and they would be lost without it.

She added: “The girls are well aware of all the support they offer and Heather did two weeks’ work experience there last summer.

“They have done abseils before, but we heard Diverse Abilities Plus were doing one, so they wanted to do it.

“They’re amazing actually, because I couldn’t do it. They want to raise as much money as they can.”
