AFC Bournemouth defender Steve Cook has appeared in court charged with sexual assault and voyeurism.
Cook, 21, of Perth Road, St Leonards, is among four people who stood at a short preliminary hearing at Brighton Magistrates Court yesterday.
The four were arrested in January on suspicion of an attack on a woman in Brighton on July 17 last year.
Also charged are Cook’s former Brighton and Hove Albion team mates, George Barker, 20, of Highview Avenue North, Brighton; Lewis Dunk, 20, of Woodbourne Avenue, Brighton and Anton Rodgers, 19, of Highview Avenue North, Brighton.
Cook joined Cherries on loan from Brighton last year before signing permanently.
He made 26 appearances during the 2011/12 season.
The five men will next appear at Brighton Magistrates Court on July 6.
