A TEAM of 75 members of staff from a Dorset brewers and pub company are taking to the skies in aid of charity.

The directors and pub team members, who all work for Blandford-based Hall & Woodhouse, are set to descent nearly 189 miles through the skies in aid of a children’s hospice.

Hall & Woodhouse has been supporting Winchester-based Naomi House for almost a year and has already raised £60,000.

To end the year on a literal high, the team has booked the whole of Neverathon Airfield in Wiltshire, home of the Army Parachuting Association, to allow brave employees the chance to experience freefall parachuting from 13,000 feet.

So far 75 have agreed to take the plunge.

Dorset pubs taking part in the challenge include the Old Granary in Wareham, the Crown Hotel in Blandford, the Olive Branch and the Angel Inn in Wimborne, the Grasshopper in Poole, Monmouth Ash in Verwood and the New Queen in Christchurch as well as members of the brewery team in Blandford.
