DETECTIVES in Bournemouth are hunting a man who threatened a shop worker with a knife.
It happened at the Super Save Wine Store in Poole Road at around 9.30pm on Friday.
Police said the man entered the shop, pointed the knife at a member of staff behind the counter and demanded cash from the till.
But the shopkeeper was able to alert a colleague who was in a back office and the offender fled on foot towards Westbourne.
DC Steven Griffin, of Bournemouth CID said: “This was a particularly nasty incident and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have information on the identity of the offender, and anything that may assist us in our investigation.”
The offender is described as being a white man aged between 17 and 19.
He was wearing a blue hooded top with the hood up, and a grey scarf covering his face up to his eyes. He was also wearing blue jeans and possibly white trainers.
