A JUBILANT Poole Lottery winner is hoping his luck will rub off on other local people when Euromillions guarantees to create 18 new UK millionaires today.

Car paint sprayer, Ian Bridges, who scooped £153,594, drove his 2007 Jaguar car to Sunseeker in Poole to get a taste of what life could be like for one of the winners. He said: “I love my Jaguar and I’m more than happy with my own lottery win but I must admit I would love to be able to afford to buy a beautiful boat.

“I just hope their luxury is a sign of things to come for this Friday and that at least one of the 18 new millionaires will be based in this area. I, for one, will certainly be trying my luck at being a winner this Friday.”

Ian, a single father of four grown-up children who all live in Poole, pocketed his win last month. He has since given each of his children £10,000 and has invested much of the remainder.

The 55-year-old grandfather had been buying two Lucky Dip tickets for each of the Tuesday and Friday Euromillions and the Wednesday and Saturday Lotto since January.

And although his windfall has put an end to his money worries, he has no plans to give up his job at Dorset Car Body in Verwood.
