BOURNEMOUTH University engineering students are the second highest earning graduates in the country, according to new figures.
The Higher Education Statistics Agency looked at the wages of former students six months after leaving.
They found Bournemouth’s engineering students were on £38,095, behind only Oxford maths students, who were on £42,589.
The lowest paid graduates were media studies students from Northumbria University, who were earning £11,789.
Dr Tania Humphries-Smith, the universities head of engineering, said: “Our graduates secure excellent well-paid employment in part due to undertaking year-long placements.”
