FAST food chain Subway has been granted a late-night refreshment licence for its Wallisdown branch – but requests to extend the hours of its Bournemouth and Winton branches were refused.
Members of Bournemouth’s licensing committee agreed the Wallisdown Road branch could serve until 4am seven days a week. But the shop in Commercial Road was refused permission to extend its hours to 5am seven days a week and the Wimborne Road branch was refused permission to extend its hours to 4am seven days a week.
Both these applications had prompted an objection from Dorset Police who told councillors it was “essential to control the amount of premises with late-night refreshment licences”.
