A PAIR of otters who charmed visitors to Bournemouth’s Oceanarium have celebrated their first anniversary there.
More than £150,000 was invested to create a bespoke home to mirror the natural habitat of the Oriental small clawed otters.
Stan and Roxy, the residents of the Otter Oasis, who were named by the public, were given a perfect birthday present of some toys to play with in the water.
Holly Brennan, dedicated otter keeper, said: “I have had a fantastic year getting to know our oriental small-clawed otters, as have our visitors.
“Ever since they were introduced to one another, Stan and Roxy have been inseparable playing, snoozing and exploring together.
“They are such great little characters and have developed very distinct personalities.”
The attraction is offering half-price entry to BH residents in May.
