POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a bike and car which happened in Christchurch on Friday morning.
The alleged hit and run took place on Hurn Road in St Catherine’s between 8.20am and 8.30am.
The cyclist was travelling away from Christchurch towards Bournemouth Airport when the incident with the blue motor vehicle took place.
PC Chris Maidment said: “The cyclist fell off his bike but was fortunate not to be injured.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident to contact the police on 101, in the strictest confidence.”
A 41-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested and has been released on bail pending enquiries.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 18:77.
