IN the days following Emily’s tragic death, Elliot Turner claimed he was planning to propose to her and even that she may have been pregnant.

He told how the teenage beauty had changed his wild ways and that he had put a deposit on a pink sapphire engagement ring.

But instead of grieving for the stunning and popular student, Turner turned his attention to partying and to boasting about his money, drug use, popularity and sex life.

He was quick to accept offers of interviews and the New Zealand Herald reported how he donned designer clothing to take one of its reporters to Café Shore in Sandbanks for cocktails just days after he had woken up next to Emily’s dead body.

The paper reported how he told its journalist he used cocaine, had slept with models and beauty queens and had relationships with reality TV stars.

He insisted he had been in love with her and that they were in a steady relationship. And he told how difficult it had been for him when he discovered she was dead.
