Police today launched a hunt for a missing Hampshire dad.
Officers say they are become increasingly concerned for John Dunkel The 56-year-old, from New Milton, has not been seen since May 13.
Contact with John Dunkel was last made by his 13-year-old son at around 8pm on the day he disappeared.
He hasn’t been seen or been in contact since then with any of his family.
None of his known friends have had any contact from him either.
When he was last seen he was driving a Renault traffic caravan.
This has since been recovered near the junction of White Knights and Barton Court Avenue in Barton-on Sea, in the New Forest.
It is believed to have been there since the day Mr Dunkel was last seen.
Though he comes from the New Milton area friends and relatives had different addresses for him and it’s thought most recently he may have been staying in the West Hill Road area of Bournemouth.
It known he has had financial worries and other concerns which may have led him to be depressed.
Police are appealing for anyone who has seen John or knows where he may be to contact them as soon as possible.
He is described as white, 5ft 6 inches tall ofstocky with beer belly, a distinctive limp and probably tanned skin (from working outdoors).
Mr Dunkel always wears glasses, has short brown hair which is starting to grey and thin, and hazel coloured eyes He often carries a black and white rucksack and likes to wear tanned work boots.
Anyone with information about Mr Dunkel’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Duty Sergeant at Lymington Police on 101.
