A SPECTACULAR glass-bottomed kayak safari at one of the Dorset coast’s most beautiful wildlife hotspots is on offer this summer.
Kimmeridge Bay teems with a dazzling array of species and Dorset Wildlife Trust launched the kayak safaris last year.
It takes you on a journey across five habitats within the beautiful bay, including a seaweed garden, rocky ledges and an anemone garden.
“You can see huge ballan wrasse, curious looking tompot blennies, feisty velvet swimming crabs and beautiful seaweeds like the iridescent blue/green magic seaweed,” said Marc Smith, marine warden.
“This initiative offers a unique way to observe marine life in the wild using specially designed glass-bottom kayaks and goggle viewers.”
The safaris will run every Tuesday from May 29 to August 14 at £25 for a guided two-hour session which includes a presentation and one hour on the water.
