METROPOLITAN Police detectives are still investigating a bomb scare at a Poole secondary school.
Poole Grammar School, in Gravel Hill, had to be evacuated on Wednesday following a hoax email that an incendiary device had been planted in the building.
A spokesman for the Met said that more than 50 schools across the country had received the malicious email.
The spokesman said: “Reports are still coming in thick and fast.
“No actual devices have been found. It was a hoax but we are making enquiries and will continue to investigate.”
Dorset County Council and Borough of Poole council said no other schools under ITS control had been targeted.
A spokesman for Poole council said: “All Poole schools have emergency evacuation plans that, like Poole Grammar, they will put into action in order to ensure that children and staff are safeguarded should they be required.”
