PART of the A35 Christchurch bypass will be closed for four nights from Monday to replace a footbridge.
The A35 bypass at Burton Road will be closed while the old bridge is replaced with a new single span bridge, which will be open in mid-June. Traffic will be diverted via Somerford Road B3659 and Purewell Cross Road B3059 from 8pm to 6am Monday to Thursday while the supports are erected and the main span and ramps installed.
The road will be closed again during the night of June 6 while the old bridge is removed.
Part of the road has been closed during the daytime since January when work started to replace the 1960s bridge and the part closure will continue until July.
