A MAN was rescued from his Upper Parkstone flat in the early hours of Saturday after unattended cooking caught fire.
Firefighters from Westbourne and Redhill Park were called to the Bournemouth Road flat at 2.10am.
They found that cooking was alight. The fire was extinguished and the man checked over by an ambulance crew.
The flat was left smoke damaged and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service urged people never to leave cooking food unattended.
