AROUND 20 square metres of vegetation caught fire along an embankment on Swanage Railway on Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters from the town were called to the site near Corfe Castle at 4.30pm and put out the fire with beaters and water.
A spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said it was thought a spark from a passing steam train set the dry vegetation alight.
