A MAN was subjected to a terrifying sexual assault as he walked home through Boscombe.
Police have issued an e-fit of the attacker and appealed for information from anyone who may have seen him behaving strangely.
They had only just released details of the incident, which happened on Wednesday May 2 at 12.50am, behind a small beach hut near cliffs at Shelley Park.
The victim, a Bournemouth man, described the offender as aged 35-40, of large build, with his hair in a pony tail. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms.
Detective Constable James Batty, of Bournemouth & Poole CID, said: “Following further enquiries, I am now able to release an e-fit of the man we believe is responsible for this serious sexual assault.
“This was a particularly nasty attack on a man while he walked home.
“I would urge anyone who recognises this man to contact Police as soon as possible.
“Anyone who saw any suspicious activity or anybody acting strangely near cliffs at Shelley Park at the time is urged to dial 101 in confidence.”
Alternatively, witnesses can ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
