Admitted driving a Mercedes van on Keysworth Drive, Sandford without due care and attention whereby an accident occurred and damage was caused to another vehicle and failed to stop. Fined £200, to pay victim surcharge of £15, costs of £35 and licence endorsed with eight points. Also admitted failing to give his name and address and failing to report the accident at a police station or to a constable within 24 hours of the accident. Fined £50.
BRETT FRANCIS DAVIES, aged 35, of The Briars, Wool, Wareham. Admitted driving a Peugeot car on Colliers Lane with no insurance. Conditional discharge for six months. To pay costs of £35 and licence endorsed with six points.
KAREN ELIZABETH NORTH, aged 52, of High Street, Swanage. Admitted that between December 17 2011 and February 15, 2012 caused unnecessary suffering to a dog named Monty by failing to provide adequate veterinary care and attention for its skin condition. Community order made to present herself to the Poole Probation Centre for 20 days to undertake education, training and employment. To carry out unpaid work for 40 hours under supervision. Costs of £250. Order made under Section 34 of Animal Welfare Act 2006 to disqualify the defendant in respect of canines from owning them, keeping them, control or influence them for a period of five years. No application for termination may be made within the period of three years. This order is suspended for 28 days. If ownership has not been transferred within 28 days then Lucky, a black and white Collie, will be taken into possession. Also admitted causing unnecessary suffering in not addressing the cause of weight loss to dog named Monty. Community order made as above. Also admitted failing to protect Monty from pain regarding a problem with its eye. Community order made as above. Also admitted failing to protect Monty from pain and suffering for its declining condition. Community order made as above.
