MEMBERS of Ellingham and Ringwood Rugby Club will be cycling from hallowed Twickenham back to their memorial ground in Ringwood to raise money for charity in June.
Their chosen causes will be Help for Heroes and the Rugby Football Union’s Injured Players Foundation.
Fifty members of the club will be arriving back at their home ground on June 17 after the strenuous ride, which will start with a lap around the pitch at Twickenham.
Support is also being given by The Forge Cycleworks from the Furlong in Ringwood and locally based Abacus Van Hire. Marie Corlett, one of the organisers said: “We’re proud to be a community club and although we have to work hard to raise funds for ourselves, we also like to give something back. This seems to be a great way to do this by supporting two really worthwhile charities - and hopefully we’ll also have a whole lot of fun doing it”.
