A SHOPPING centre boss is preparing to cycle 38 miles in support of his wife, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer.
Bill Riddle, who is the operations manager at Castlepoint, is part of the Bournemouth AFC business team taking part in this year’s Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride, along with AFC Bournemouth commercial director Rob Mitchell.
He says that he feels emotionally compelled to help the charity that is giving so much support to victims of cancer like his wife Sue, who also works at Castlepoint, in Marks and Spencer.
“I’m going for the 38 mile route this year which will be very challenging but nothing like the current challenge faced by Sue and so many other people who bravely face the day-to-day threat posed by cancer but are helped and supported so magnificently by the Macmillan teams in the region,” he said.
Chrissie Wathen- Neal, Macmillan fundraising manager said: “I’m pleased that Bill has joined the AFC business team and will be helping them towards their £10,000 target.”
