TWO of Bournemouth and Poole’s five Race for Life events are now full, say delighted organisers.
Places for the morning events on Bournemouth seafront on Sunday, June 17 and Poole Park on Sunday, June 24 have reached capacity.
But Rachel White from Cancer Research UK says there is still time left for people to sign up to the afternoon events and join in the fight against the disease.
So far 850 out of the 1,500 places have been taken for the Poole 2pm 5km race.
And almost half of the 3,000 places for both the 5km and 10km races in Bournemouth have been filled.
Rachel Said: “It is fantastic that the morning events in Bournemouth and Poole are both full. Now we are really keen to encourage anyone still thinking about entering to just take the plunge and sign up.
“We are hoping it is going to be a brilliant atmosphere at both events and it will be fantastic if we could beat the numbers that we got last year and try to reach our fundraising target.”
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is an amazing women-only series of events, which raises millions of pounds every year for life-saving research into 200 types of cancer, helping men, women and children across Dorset survive. The charity receives no government funding for its ground-breaking research so relies heavily on fundraising and charitable donations.
