DIG out your best hats and dust off your finest suits – a Royal Ascot race night is coming to town.
The Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel will be bringing a touch of Ascot to the seaside resort later this month for a fun fundraising event in aid of Lewis-Manning Hospice.
The hotel is urging people to find their finest clobber for the race night and tasty three-course dinner on Saturday June 23.
Andrew Francis, general manager, hopes the evening will be a big success to raise vital funds and awareness for Lewis-Manning Hospice.
He said: “Many of our employees have been touched by cancer in some way and we hope that by showing our support for the hospice we will be able to give something back to the local community and to help make a positive difference.”
Lewis-Manning Hospice, the hotel’s chosen charity of the year for 2012, provides free high quality hospice care for local people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Sally Goodenough, Lewis-Manning Hospice corporate and legacies fundraiser, said: “We are delighted that the Marriott is supporting us and it couldn’t have come at a more exciting time as we celebrate our 20th anniversary and have just moved back into our brand new state of the art hospice.”
Tickets are £32 per person and include a three-course menu and professional race night.
