DORSET Fire and Rescue Service bosses are looking for volunteers to help press home fire safety messages in their own communities.
The county service launched a successful volunteering scheme three years ago.
Now, to coincide with National Volunteer Week, they want locals to step forward again.
Volunteer manager Anne Newell said: “This is an exciting time for Dorset with the Olympics around the corner and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service want to be at the forefront of that excitement.
“There are many volunteering opportunities to get involved with all over the county.
“It really is about volunteers taking the fire service into their community and engaging the public on our behalf.
“If anyone would like to give back to the community and become a volunteer then please get in touch with me.”
The volunteers are supported by DFRS Community Safety Task Teams.
Full training and a two day corporate induction is provides for every volunteer.
Send an email to recruitment@dorsetfire.gov uk if you would like to take up the challenge.
