Have you been a patient or visitor at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital or Christchurch Hospitals? If so, tell us about your experience.
We want to provide a service which is centred on our patients, and feedback helps us shape and improve services.
Giving us feedback is really easy; just visit the dedicated page on our website at www.rbch.nhs.uk/feedback.
Follow the link to our online patient experience card to answer a series of yes/no questions about your experience as a patient at the Trust.
If you have stayed overnight at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, we really want to know your thoughts on your stay. You can tell us by completing the Picker Institute’s inpatient survey by following the link on our website.
This anonymous survey takes around ten minutes to complete.
Other ways you can share your thoughts with us include:
• Calling or texting 01202 726272
• Emailing comments@rbch.nhs.uk.
Please note we can not respond to these comments.
• Calling, writing or emailing the Head of Patient Engagement, Sue Mellor, via sue.mellor@rbch.nhs.uk
• Asking for a one-to-one patient experience interview with the Head of Patient Engagement
• Joining one of the Trust’s patient focus groups ppi@rbch.nhs.uk
• Leaving a comment on the NHS Choices or the Patient Opinion website Sue Mellor, Head of Patient Engagement, said: “Feedback highlights where patients think we are excelling and key areas we need to improve. We regularly analyse this feedback and implement changes according to what our patients tell us.”
Over the last year, improvements put in place based on patient feedback include:
• LCD screens in the Outpatient Department tell patients how long delays in the clinics are, and staff actively make sure patients are told of potential delays as they occur.
• An LCD screen in the Emergency Department (ED) is used to explain the process for patients being seen.
Many volunteers support the Trust by giving their time to help us provide high standards of quality care. If you would like to volunteer we would be delighted to hear from you. For more information call Jacky Taylor or James Rowden on 01202 704253.
