A FURTHER 55 coronavirus cases have been recorded across Dorset, according to the latest government update.
The Department of Health and Social Care website showed that there were 23 new cases reported in the BCP Council area in the 24 hours up to 4pm on Friday, December 11.
In the BCP area there have now been 7,606 recorded Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, in the Dorset Council area 32 cases were reported in the latest 24 period.
Since March, 3,452 cases have been confirmed in the Dorset Council area.
Yesterday, 58 new cases were recorded across Dorset.
The number of cases in the BCP area over the latest rolling seven-day period is 252, with a rate per 100,000 people of 63.7. In Dorset 156 cases have been confirmed in the past seven days, with a rate of 41.2.
In the New Forest there were eight new cases. The total in the district since the pandemic started is 2,003. A total of 117 cases have been seen in the latest seven-day rolling period, delivering a case rate of 65.
