ELLIOT Turner was still working in the family business at the time of his arrest. RE Porter jewellers in Post Office Road, Bournemouth was initially acquired by his grandfather before it was handed down to Elliot’s parents, Anita and Leigh.
The business, which specialised in antique silver, had a good reputation but in the weeks leading up to the trial a closing down sale was held before they shut up shop.
Elliot had been working there one day a week and was also employed as an assistant underwriter at Rias in Bournemouth.
Elliot spent his early years in Solihull in the West Midlands but attended schools in Bournemouth, enrolled at Bournemouth College and spent just a month a Southampton’s Solent University before dropping out.
