SOARING temperatures and clear skies attracted thousands of visitors and residents to Bournemouth's beaches today.
With highs of 24C and bright sunny skies, people flocked to the beaches to make the most of the hottest day of the year so far.
The sun is shining today, Saturday, June 12, as people get in the summer spirit tanning on the sand and some even taking a dip in the sea.

Many people queued for Hot Rocks, ice cream kiosks and food outlets on the promenade while others enjoyed the fair ground rides and braved the zipline above Bournemouth beach.

The Land Train was also in action, ferrying excited passengers along the promenade.
Crowds flocked to the beaches to make the most of the hot and sunny weather which is expected to continue into next week.
Forecaster Bournemouth and Poole Weather said that low cloud hanging around in the morning should burn off quickly with top temperatures of 22-24C.
Lots of visitors were enjoying the pier attractions.
With sea temperatures still around 13-14C it is nice enough to take a dip or even get out on jet skis and paddle boards.
Wall to wall sunshine is expected throughout the weekend, UV and pollen levels will remain high so be sure to take all relevant precautions when out and about enjoying this glorious weather.
