A POOLE man has appeared in court for illegally hunting a wild mammal with a dog.
Callum Carpenter was alleged to have committed the offence in Bromham, Wiltshire, on October 10, 2020.
Carpenter, 28, pleaded not guilty at a hearing in April, however, the bench found him guilty of the crime in breach of the Hunting Act 2004 following a trial on May 26 at South East Wiltshire Magistrates' Court in Salisbury.
The defendant, whose address was given as Cranborne Crescent, Poole, was fined £500 and ordered to pay a £50 surcharge and £310 prosecution costs.
Court papers did not specify the wild mammal Carpenter hunted.
