Carole Mattingly (nee Bailey) of Southampton has been in touch with her school friends from Parkstone Grammar School for over 50 years.

She sent in a school photograph taken in 1957 when the school was at Ashley Cross in Lower Parkstone.

For the last 10 years the ex-pupils and their husbands have met every summer. This year was particularly special event as all the girls are now over 70 years old.

Sadly, a year after the picture of a reunion taken in 2005, Frances Dyke, one of the ladies in the back row, passed away.

Carole recently made contact with Margaret Masters who she saw last when they left school in 1957. Margaret has lived in Australia since 1965. Carole also writes regularly to Judith Cook, another grammar school girl who also now lives in Australia and has since visited Margaret.
