After the letdown of Christmas last year, Sainsbury's wants its customers to enjoy the classic moments of Christmas with friends and family coming together around the table.
The "sentimental snapshot" which was created by Wieden+Kennedy London starts with someone plugging in their Christmas tree lights and the words ‘Welcome Back to Christmas’ appearing on the screen and everything freezes.
A toy stops mid backflip and Etta James’ classic song "At Last" begins to play.
We see an entire family frozen into comical scenes - a grandpa is sitting in his chair cracking open a nut that has exploded and a woman opens a bottle of Sainsbury's Christmas Prosecco Rosé which we see spraying in the air.

The gravy starts to pour, the Christmas cracker is pulled and the fizz sprays everywhere.
We even start to hear the familiar sounds of laughter and conversation over the soundtrack which is when Stephen Fry makes his starring appearance.
Fry's voice can be heard saying : “It’s been a long time coming, so let’s make it a Christmas to savour” as the advert fades.

“With so many of us unable to spend Christmas with our loved one’s last year we, along with the nation, are really excited to fully celebrate Christmas once more," Radha Davies, Director of Brand Communications and Creative, at Sainsbury’s says.
"One of the true highlights of the festive season is the much-anticipated Christmas dinner.
"Whilst the food is important, it’s also about what that meal represents, spending quality time with loved ones, catching up, enjoying a delicious meal and above all, having fun together.
“That’s why we decided to focus on savouring every moment with this year’s ad.
"We really hope everyone truly gets to enjoy themselves this year and can make it one to remember.”
