Fans have paid tribute to the late Seinfeld actress Kathryn Kates following the announcement of her death.
Kates was also known for roles in series including Matlock, Thunder Alley and Orange Is The New Black as well as the Sopranos spin-off film The Many Saints Of Newark.
Kates, 73, reportedly died of cancer on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Florida, according to national reports.
Her death was announced three days later by her representatives at Headline Talent Agency.

Agents for the US actress described Kathryn Kates as a “powerful force of nature” with “enough patience to fill 10 ships”.
The actress was well known for her work in theatre as well as her comedic role as The Counter Woman in two of Seinfeld's most famous episodes, 'The Dinner Party' and 'The Rye'.
Announcing her death on Instagram, Headline talent agency said: “Our mighty @officialkathrynkates has passed away.
“She will always be remembered and adored in our hearts as the powerful force of nature she was.
“She loved this craft and had enough patience to fill 10 ships.
“A true icon. We will miss you”.
Headline Talent Agency later told the Sun: "Kathryn has been our client for many years, and we have grown much closer to her in this last year since she knew of her cancer returning.
“She was always incredibly brave and wise and approached every role with the greatest of passion. She will be greatly missed.”
One fan, who hosts 'This Podcast is Making Me Thirsty' - a podcast dedicated to Seinfeld, said: "We are [heartbroken] to learn of the passing of Kathryn Kates. She made us laugh on two episodes of Seinfeld but leaves a legacy of kindness and humanity to all those she touched. RIP Kathryn."
Another said: "Rest in Power Kathryn Kates. You were always a joy and lesson to watch work."
