In the latest to come from the book, Prince Harry has reportedly revealed the text messages between Meghan and Kate over Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress before the royal wedding in 2018.
According to The Mirror, Harry claimed the incident was mostly caused by Kate.
Reports circulated ahead of the Sussexes’ nuptials that Meghan left Kate in tears at Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting – but Meghan told Oprah Winfrey in an interview in 2021 that “the reverse” happened.
Kate reportedly was unhappy with the dress and wanted it to be remade, unhappy with Meghan’s suggestion to visit the tailor on standby at Kensington Palace.
He wrote that the dresses, which were made by Givenchy’s then-creative director Clare Waight Keller, had been hand-sewn based solely on measurements so it made sense that they would need some tweaks.
In the book, after dealing with this as well as issues with her father, Thomas Markle, Harry writes Meghan was left “sobbing on the floor”.

The Mirror has published the reported messages between them, according to Prince Harry:
Kate: "Charlotte's dress is too big, too long, too baggy. She cried when she tried it on a home."
Meghan: "Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8am. Here. At KP. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?"
Kate: "No, all the dresses need to be remade."
Meghan: "I'm not sure what else to say. If the dress doesn't fit then please take Charlotte to see Ajay. He's been waiting all day."
Kate: "Fine."
Harry also wrote that the next day Kate apologised, bringing over flowers and a card.
