The BBC's Have I Got News For You has joked on social media following the publication of the Privilege Committee's report into Boris Johnson's Partgate denials.
The joke from the topic news programme follows the cross-party committee's conclusion that the former PM misled Parliament on Thursday, June 15.
The BBC programme took to Twitter just after 10 am on Thursday morning, writing: "Astonishment as big news story breaks before recording".
BBC viewers rushed to the comments to react ahead of Friday night's programme which airs at 9 pm on BBC One.

One fan commented: "I'd better get in some extra popcorn for tomorrow evening."
A second user posted: "Just think how bad the news story will be that breaks just after recording finishes."
A third shared: "I don't think this series can end tonight as there is so much going on. I think we need another month's worth at least!"
The joke comes after last week's episode - which was recorded on Thursday - missed covering Mr Johnson's surprise resignation on Friday evening.
The announcement that the ex-PM would be stepping back 'with immediate effect' from his role as MP of Uxbridge and South Ruislip came just an hour before the broadcast.

Ahead of the show last Friday. the popular show joked: "Perhaps we need to start recording the show on a Friday."
Friday’s episode saw comedian Harry Hill joined by comedian Jack Dee and editor-in-chief of Vice UK Zing Tsjeng with regulars Ian Hislop and Paul Merton.
Instead, the episode followed other major news stories of the week including Phillip Scohield's affair, Prince Harry's trial with the owners of the Daily Mirror and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s US trip.

Following last week's episode, HIGFY regular and editor of Private Eye magazine Ian Hislop, has also released the latest issue.
The issue, which was released on June 14, simply features a sea of 'Hahahahas' on its front page in response to Boris Johnson's resignation.
The resignation special also features a red line at the bottom which teases the magazine's contents - 'On other pages: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...@
The front page post has accumulated over 823.5k views and 11.7k likes at the time of writing.
