MANAGER Ken Vaughan expressed his gratitude to Tom Killick for allowing Poppies to dual register Poole Town frontman Karim Lammali.

Vaughan was speaking after strikers Lammali and Martin Warren had both netted twice in a 4-1 Premier Division win at Alton Town on Saturday.

Ex-Poppies midfielder Scott Sanderson scored a consolation for the crisis-hit hosts but Vaughan’s men bounced back in style following their midweek cup mauling at the hands of East Cowes Vics.

Discussing two-goal hero Lammali, Vaughan said: “I was over the moon that Tom offered him to us. He is just such a competitor.”
