CHRISTCHURCH boss Graham Kemp described as “probably a fair result” their 1-1 draw with Wessex Premier neighbours Bournemouth Poppies.
Ross Lloyd opened the scoring for high-flying Priory at Victoria Park when he arrived at the far post to head home Mark Smith’s probing free-kick.
However, Martin Warren capitalised on a defensive mistake to equalise two minutes into the second half, the striker’s fine finish from the edge of the box taking his tally into double figures.
Smith, Harry Cornick and Sam Griffin all squandered presentable chances to win it for Priory in the closing stages as Kemp’s men missed out on returning to the summit.
Christchurch manager Kemp said: “I felt we dominated the first 30 minutes but it was fairly even from then on.
“Although a draw was probably a fair result, we had three good chances to win it in the final 15 minutes so I was disappointed we didn’t take all three points.”

- Jack Lovell proved a chip off the old block as his double fired Verwood Town to a 3-1 victory over struggling New Milton Town at Potterne Park.
Lovell, the teenage son of local non-league legend Jason Lovell, netted a quickfire opener after just two minutes to give the Potters the lead.
However, Taz Roberts replied just three minutes later for Linnets before Callum Holloway and Ian Proctor both missed good chances to edge them in front.
Verwood dictated the pace of the game in the second half and their pressure eventually told when Dan Fox inadvertently headed past his own goalkeeper Mike Hookway to put the hosts back in the lead.
Hot prospect Lovell completed the scoring four minutes from time to halt a run of four successive defeats for Verwood and condemn Linnets to a fourth consecutive reverse.
