TWO quickfire goals secured victory for Wimborne Town (pictured left) over Poole Town Wessex in the under-14s final.
Charlie Bonnington and George Richardson were the Magpies marksmen at King George V Playing Fields.
A closely-contested match saw both teams keep the ball on the ground and try to play some attractive football.
Two goals in succession from Bonnington and Richardson gave them a two-goal cushion.
Poole reduced the deficit through Sam Lench late on, but couldn’t find an equaliser as Wimborne stayed resolute at the back through the closing stages.
