CAPTAIN Ryan Beck hopes brotherly love can play its part as he plans to name three pairs of siblings in New Milton’s line-up tomorrow.

Joe Prodomo, a goalkeeper with Wessex League club Fawley during the football season, joins twin Tom for the trip to Hartley Wintney to complete a trio of family ties.

Milton already have fearsome batting duo Nick and James Park, who racked up 215 runs in last week’s abandoned match with Hook & Newnham Basics.

Beck’s brother Nick Elliott is a regular for the Fernhill Lane outfit.

The unlikely scenario came about as Beck’s other brother, Lee, was unavailable, leading to Joe Prodomo being promoted from the second team.

And the New Milton skipper, who is looking to build on his side’s strong start to the Division One season, says having family connections to call on hands his team an advantage.

Ryan Beck told the Daily Echo: “We have a good mix in the team at the moment and it has got to help.

“When you grow up playing alongside each other, you know what the other is going to do.

“The two Park boys are a good example with the way they batted last week and, if they can do it week in week out, I will definitely take that.

“I don’t know whether we have ever named three sets of brothers in our side before but I can’t think of it happening.”

On Milton’s opponents, who have lost their opening two matches, Beck added: “I think we have to be confident but Hartley are a funny side, particularly at home.

“We managed to break our jinx there last year but it is a hard place to go because the pitch is the size of a postage stamp.

“It will give us a different kind of test but, with a tough game to come at Sarisbury next week, we really have to be winning matches like this.”

New Milton: R Beck, J Park, N Park, House, Elliott, Loader, T Prodomo, J Prodomo, Watts, Gargaro, Loasby.
