PLUCKY teenager Jake Parker bounced back from injury to win the sixth round of the Ringwood Motocross Club’s championship series.

The 13-year-old Priestlands School pupil won the small-wheel 85cc category at the Rogers Hill Raceway circuit near Bere Regis.

It was Jake’s first event since breaking his wrist in the club’s opening round in February.

Jake followed up a second place in the opening race by winning the final two to take the overall prize.

The Lymington youngster began motocross when he was just six in the automatic 50cc class in which he won the club championship.

Last season’s sixth place in the Grand Slam was a personal best for Jake.

He also finished 12th overall in the Red Bull Pro Nationals.

Mitchell Pocklington, meanwhile, won the Automatic 50cc battle with three race wins, while Molly Shutler kept the boys at bay for victory in the Junior 65cc class.

Swanmore, near Corhampton in Hampshire, is the venue for the next round of the Ringwood Motocross Club championship on Sunday.
