CHERRIES are set to run the rule over three trialists when they face non-league neighbours Poole Town in a pre-season friendly at Tatnam tomorrow (7.45pm).
Midfielders Charlie Losasso and Jack Bayly, together with defender Theo Jones, have been training with the club’s development squad this week and are expected to feature against the Dolphins.
Losasso, 20, earned a two-year professional contract with Reading after graduating from the club’s Academy in 2011 before being released at the end of last season.
Teenage right-back Jones was recently freed by Brighton after coming through the Seagulls ranks, while Irishman Bayly is a product of the successful Cherry Orchard club in Dublin.
Cherries are fielding their development squad against Poole and entry to Tatnam is £6 for adults and £2 for under-16s.
Meanwhile, Poole’s bid to secure back-to-back promotions will begin with a home clash against St Albans City on August 17.
In the Southern League fixtures, which were released today, the newly-promoted Dolphins were given the chance to kick-off at Tatnam.
Tom Killick’s men, Division One South & West champions last term, have already been installed as one of the bookmakers’ favourites to claim the top-flight crown in 2013-14.
Poole will also visit Dorset rivals Weymouth on Boxing Day before hosting Bashley on New Year’s Day.
Bashley’s curtain-raiser comes at Biggleswade Town, while the New Forest outfit, managed by Frank Gray’s successors Stewart Kearn and Paul Gazzard, will host troubled AFC Totton on Boxing Day.
In Division One South & West, Wimborne Town start with a trip to Yate Town and the Magpies will entertain Bridgwater at Cuthbury on Boxing Day.
