HAVING watched his side come agonisingly close to toppling title contenders Sarisbury, Ryan Beck has backed his finally fit squad to fire New Milton to a top-three finish.
Beck’s boys were washed out just 75 runs short of a win-ning total with eight wickets to spare against Athletic last weekend but rather than dwell on the disappointment, the Milton skipper is relishing the end-of-season run-in.
Lee Beck – who had been ruled out with a dislocated finger – returned last weekend, handing his brother the opportunity to field his strongest team after weeks of chopping and changing.
And with all of Milton’s injuries seemingly sorted out, Beck believes their season can end with success – starting with tomorrow’s trip to Rowledge.
Beck told the Daily Echo: “Now we have a fully squad fit, I think we’re capable of beating anyone, certainly at home. We have our strongest team available for the second week in a row.”
New Milton: N Park, House, J Park, R Beck, L Beck, Edwards, Loader, T Prodomo, Elliott, G Watts, Staniford.
- Bashley make two changes to their side for the trip to Totton & Eling. Skipper Richard Morris is boosted by the return of Nick Baker and Simon Watkins, with the duo coming in for Ryan Higgins, who is featuring for England under-19s, and Chris Vaughan.
Bashley: Morris, Friedman, Thur-good, Baker, Terry, Watkins, Gil-mour, Ridley, Neal, Grierson, Nash.
- Captain Martin Miller has been forced to shuffle his pack for Bournemouth’s testing trip to face second-placed Ventnor.
Miller will have to do without Ryan Scott, who has been recalled by parent club Hampshire Academy to cover players on England junior duty, while Justin Langen and Anschuman Singh are unavailable.
Bournemouth: Miller, Keath, Hand, Rogers, Allum, Russell, Smith, Watton, Wainwright, Hawkes, Choudhry.
- Lymington make one change to their team for the trip to St Cross Symondians with Darren Cowley resting a persistent ankle injury. Felix Ambrose takes his place.
Lymington: Treagus, Henry, Jaffer, Beetham, Grierson, Ambrose, Metcalfe, Kidner, Freeman, Ellis, Edwards.
