PARLEY all-rounder Sam Thomson has been rewarded for his efforts by being called up for Dorset’s final Minor Counties Championship clash of the season.
Thomson, who has starred as Parley have remained unbeaten in the Dorset League, is set to feature when the county hosts Western Division rivals Wales at Dean Park.
The 22-year-old off-spinner and right-handed batsman will be hoping to help Dorset pick up their first championship win of the campaign when the three-day match gets under way on Sunday (11am).
Thomson will be joined in the Dorset team by fellow spinner JJ Dews, who attends Wellington College where he is a student of unavailable skipper Tom Hicks.
Ben Rogers is also unavailable but Mike Porter returns from Hampshire seconds duty and Rupes Kitzinger is back.
Dorset: N Park, Mole, Khan, Williams, Porter, C Park, Wolstenholme, Thomson, Kitzinger, Hayman, Dews.
