MATT Tubbs has had his Cherries contract terminated by mutual consent less than 24 hours after his recall from loan club AFC Wimbledon.
The striker, who became the club’s record signing when he joined for a reported £800,000 from Crawley in January 2012, has become a free agent with the Dons, League Two rivals Portsmouth and Conference club Bristol Rovers understood to be chasing his signature.
Tubbs has spent the past 18 months out on loan at Crawley, Rotherham United and Wimbledon.
