TROY Batchelor has signed for Polish club Leszno, but at the same time promised it won't have an adverse affect on his Pirates performances.
The 19-year-old Australian has just arrived back from a weekend in Poland where he took part in the ExtraLeague outfit's first on-track training session.
He also attended a reception at Leszno town hall where the whole team was presented to the mayor at a civic reception.
Batchelor, who rides for Poole Castle Cover on loan from King's Lynn this year, said: "I've signed for Leszno with my fellow Aussies Leigh Adams and Travis McGowan.
"I'm taking part in all their pre-season warm ups and will take the link up from there.
"There is no guarantee how many meetings I will do and I prefer it that way.
"I may end up only doing three or four, we'll just have to see how it goes."
Batchelor, who has ridden for the Stars in Britain for two years, added: "It is definitely a good situation for me.
"Leszno phoned me up, I had a think about it and decided as I couldn't get a ride in Sweden I would try it.
"I haven't ridden in Poland before and I believe their tracks tend to be big and fast which is what I know from Australia.
"So I'll have to get my engines set up and get used to it.
"Leszno's pre-season fixtures start in April and I will be eagerly awaiting them.
"But I will also be concentrating fully on my Poole commitments because that is my main concern this year."
