DARREN Anderton will make his return to action in today's reserve team clash at Dean Court.
The former England midfielder only returned to full training yesterday after knee trouble and a virus, but will play his first game since the 2-0 home defeat by Yeovil when Crystal Palace visit in the Pontin's Holidays Combination fixture (2pm kick-off).
Cherries boss Kevin Bond said: "It's nice to have Darren back available again for us ahead of what will be a hugely important run of games.
"He still has tremendous quality on the ball, he never gives it away cheaply and is a calming influence for us with all of his experience.
"I haven't decided how long he will play for the reserves, but we'll have a look at him and be careful with him over the next few days.
"If he comes through that without any problems, I'd hope he will be back involved for the game with Millwall this weekend."
There is more good news on the injury front with young striker Sam Vokes, who scored for the under-18s at the weekend, also included in the reserve team alongside Anderton, Brett Pitman and Michael Standing.
Although Marcus Browning is making good progress from his calf strain, he will not be risked for the reserve game, but may be in contention this weekend.
Meanwhile, some of the Cherries squad were cast in the role as guinea pigs for sports manufacturers Nike at Canford School yesterday.
Many of the players were trying out the new Ronaldinho signature line of boots - the 10R - with players given the chance to borrow a pair for the training session in return for some feedback.
One of the participants Josh Gowling said: "They were quite good, but sadly they didn't make me play anything like Ronaldinho. If I'd paid for them, I'd want my money back!"
LINE-UP Cherries reserves: (from) Stewart, Sampson, Franks, Haverson, Hart, Ayres, Standing, Pitman, Anderton, Torre, Vokes, Sainsbury, Khalil, Pryce, Mills, Partington, Newton, Queere.
