KARL Broadhurst and David McGoldrick have been added to Cherries' lengthening casualty list after going down in training on Thursday.

The pair both pulled out of the session at Canford School and look certain to miss Saturday's crucial League One showdown with in-form Millwall at Dean Court.

Defender Broadhurst hobbled away from the training ground on crutches after suffering spasms in his back after he had twisted for a ball during a practice match.

And loan signing McGoldrick felt a sharp twinge in his right knee towards the end of the session and has returned to Southampton to be assessed by a doctor.

McGoldrick's first month on loan at Dean Court is due to expire following the visit of Millwall and an extension is likely to depend on his fitness.

But his chances of facing the Lions are extremely slim, although a final decision will be made following a consultation with the Saints medial staff.

Cherries are also sweating on the availability of influential defender Warren Cummings who is still confined to his sick bed due to a virus.

The Scotsman has not trained at all this week and Bond said last night that he would be "very surprised" if Cummings were to recover in time to face Millwall.

Youth team defender Scott Sampson could be drafted in to the first-team squad to cover for both Broadhurst and Cummings.

Millwall, meanwhile, have signed Charlton Athletic youngster Nathan Ashton and he goes straight into their squad.
