SWANAGE Town and Herston boss Derek Beale was delighted his side found their killer instinct, as they crushed Bridport 6-0 at Days Park.
Despite the manager's claims that Swans struggled to produce the final ball, his side were 2-0 up by the break, courtesy of Lee Turner and Sam Beale's goals.
The home side stepped it up a gear though after half-time.
Two from Simon Lander and goals from Lee James and Jacob Harrop secured Swans' biggest victory of the season.
And boss Beale was pleased with his team's polished performance, particularly once they got into their stride in the second half.
He said: "We were excellent in the first 45 minutes but the final ball was at bit poor.
"At the interval, we sorted this out and the lads went out and made the most of all their chances in the second period.
"It was a fantastic result and the lads played some good football on an extremely bobbly pitch."
REC RUN ENDED
Hamworthy Recreation saw their sensational six-match winning streak ended as they went down 2-1 at Gillingham Town.
Dan Cox put the home team ahead on 19 minutes before Ian Williamson doubled their lead.
Mike Notley's strike on the hour mark pulled one back for Rec but Steve Manuel's free-scoring side could not rescue a point.
TREBLE FOR PETER
A hat-trick from Peter Goodbody did the damage as Cobham Sports racked up a convincing 5-2 triumph over Bournemouth Sports.
The bottom of the table visitors took the lead on 10 minutes through Martin Edwards' strike.
But Goodbody's goal a minute later, plus further efforts on 29 and 49, and a first-half brace from Chris Mawer, sealed the points.
CRANBORNE LOSE OUT
Cranborne were on the receiving end of a 5-2 drubbing, courtesy of league leaders Westland Sports.
Having fallen behind after a quarter of an hour, the Cranes charged ahead, with goals from Dan Loader and Nick Dashwood.
However, Westland outclassed their hosts as Dean Vincent, Ian Harris and Karl Mitchell - scoring his second - lowered Cranborne's colours.
MARSHALL VICTORY
Sturminster Marshall travelled to Blandford United and triumphed 3-1 thanks to a Ross Humphries double within the first half hour and one from Dan Lane on 70 minutes.
SIMON STARS
Sturminster Newton star Simon Freak also bagged a brace on Saturday but it was not enough to bring down Dorchester Town who claimed a 2-2 draw.
HOLT WIN AGAIN
Holt United kept up the pressure on Westland at the top with a 2-1 victory at home to Poole Borough.
