FOUR members of Verwood Short Mat Bowling Club have been selected for the England under-21 squad for the forthcoming season.
Samuel Everett, Ben Weeks and Ben Norton all retained their places while Sam Buckley earned his spot having progressed through trials at Tamworth in April.
It was the first time Buckley, who joined the club two years ago, had attempted to secure selection for the squad.
Verwood started their under-18s section three years ago and the club now has youngsters playing at Dorset League, Dorset county, England under-18 and England under-21 level.
