SUPER-middleweight Jake Gosling is set to top the bill when Steve Bendall holds his latest professional show in Bournemouth later this month.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed an unbeaten start to his professional career and will hope to extend that run at “No Excuses” at Sir David English Sports Centre.

Bournemouth’s Gosling has six pro encounters under his belt since his first fight in 2013, five victories coming on points and one by technical knockout.

Gosling will be among a string of boxers from Bendall’s Parkstone-based gym on the bill for the event on Friday, September 16, with Jake Best, Matty Legg and Fion O’Meara due to step between the ropes.

Mudeford’s Tommy Watson is also inked in, as is Swindon’s WBC Silver middleweight title holder Kelly Morgan in a non-title fight. Bendall is also hopeful former Yeovil ABC boxer Dean Dodge will take part.

Former WBU middleweight title holder Bendall told the Daily Echo: “We’re trying to build up professional boxing in Bournemouth because it was never done down here when I was fighting.

“I want to get more people interested in coming to watch the shows and in turning pro as well.”

For tickets, phone Bendall on 07855 942151 or contact any of the boxers.
