POOLE'S youth squad were in unstoppable form at Harbourside Raceway in the fifth round of the British Regional Youth League

On a day when the strong winds proved the biggest handicap, the home club won five of the six A final trophies on offer.

Poole racked up a staggering 380 points to finish 200 points clear of nearest rivals Exeter, with Oxford third on 72.

Scott Rowles kick-started Poole’s winning haul in the under-eights ahead of team-mate Max Parry.

There was another Poole one-two in the under-12s with Nathan Goulden taking the chequered flag from Madeline Saunders.

And the pattern continued in the under-14s, where Danny Byrne and Ryan Bollam occupied the top two spots.

Comets' Callum Smith was unstoppable in the under-17s final and Fraser Garnett put in a strong challenge for third.

In the girls' division, Macie Schmidt took the honours with team-mate Anna Tuttle third.

No fewer than 10 club regulars made their competition debuts, those being Harley Simpson, Daniel Shylock, Bobby Baker, Eli Lamb, Rosie Baker, Oliver Johnson, Feroze Langoo, Reece Butcher, Lauren Compton and Ellie Way.
